On June 19, there was great excitement in the hall of the Unified Armenians in Holland organization of Nijmegen. By mutual agreement, the year-end ceremony of the schools of “Hartak” Armenian Educational Society (schools of Nijmegen, Almelo, Mastricht and Westerfort) was held through a long-distance connection with the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia with the topic of HOMELAND. This is what President of the Unified Armenians in Holland organization of Nijmegen Sveta Abrahamyan told Hayern Aysor.
The very important and desired guests of the day were Reverend, Archimandrite Aren Shahinyan of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the Netherlands and Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia, Mrs. Dzyunik Aghajanyan. The goal of the long-distance connection was to further strengthen the partnership and further deepen the relations between the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the Armenian community of the Netherlands.
Among the attendees from Armenia were several employees of the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the directors of the sister schools of “Hartak”, including Deputy Director of Fridtjof Nansen School N 150 of Yerevan Narine Parsanyan, Director of Vazgen I School Sona Galstyan and Director of Khachatur Abovyan School N 2 Ira Hakobyan.
RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan also joined the meeting, expressed her greetings to the schoolchildren, parents and teachers of “Hartak” schools, attached importance to the preservation of the Armenian language and culture abroad and congratulated the schoolchildren on the successful end of the academic year.
Hranush Hakobyan also said she was excited about the fact that three schools of “Hartak” have their sister schools in Armenia in order to carry out programs for mutual assistance and cooperation.
We thank our partners in Armenia for their kind wishes and for listening to the speeches of representatives of the four schools with patience, as well as for expressing their views and motivating us.
