Soldier received heavy injury while saving the life of a soldier in Talish, came out of a coma before his birthday

Valery Mehrabyan, who received his second heavy injury while saving the life of a military serviceman in Talish, is celebrating his 28th birthday at Erebuni Medical Center today. He was in a coma at the reanimation department for a long time, but the greatest miracle that happened on his birthday was that he came out of the coma a day before his birthday. What’s more, Valery has already been transferred from the reanimation department to a hospital room. It is safe to say that he is reborn, and it is clear that the doctors and administration of Erebuni Medical Center also played a huge role.

In an interview with SHAMSHYAN.com’s correspondent, Valery’s brother-in-law, Haik Babayan said the incident took place in Talish. Valery is the head of the headquarters of the first battalion. His neck was injured on the dawn of 4 April. On the way to the hospital, he hears via a walkie-talkie that the enemy is continuing to advance, jumps out of the truck and rushes to the military position.

He received his second heavy injury while saving the life of a wounded military serviceman and didn’t come out of a coma for a long time. He was transferred from the hospital in Martakert to the hospital in Stepanakert, after which he was taken to Erebuni Medical Center via a helicopter.

Valery is from Stepanakert. He is married with two children. After coming back to his senses, he said he wanted to see his family.

The wounded soldier whose life he had saved was also at the reanimation department. After coming back to his senses, the soldier said Valery had saved his life and was even more touched when he found out that Valery was also struggling for his life.

Other wounded soldiers are also undergoing treatment and fighting for their lives at the hospital.
