Embassy of Armenia to Georgia is fully aware of the dispute between Armenian and Georgian youth, as well as the subsequent actions of the local police which took place on the night of April 23 and the morning of Aril 24 in Akhaltsikhe. The Embassy has already contacted with the relevant authorities of Georgia to have complete information about the incident.
The Embassy also contacted with the local authorities and the appropriate steps were conducted to solve the issue. There are no detainees at this moment. Armenian Ambassador Yuri Vardanyan is planning to visit Javakheti where he will hold meetings with the representatives of the Armenian community, as well as the local authorities.
