Armenian community of Krasnodar stands with Artsakh

On the very first day when Azerbaijan launched military operations on the Nagorno-Karabakh-Azerbaijan border on the night of 1 April, the teachers and students of the A. Vardanyan Center of the Armenian Diocese of Southern Russia and parents gathered in the Center’s small hall to discuss the actions to take to support the homeland.

This is what Director of “ARMAT” School of A. Vardanyan Center Yerazik Harutyunyan reported to Hayern Aysor.

The teachers, students and parents immediately elected members of an organizing committee, drew up a list of proposals, formed groups to implement them and took action immediately.

The first group started organizing courses on first aid and use of weapons for young boys and girls. Through an internal procedure, they invited relevant experts and enlisted nearly 30 people who successfully mastered the knowledge required to provide first aid.

“The boys climb up to the mountains to learn how to shoot, and the girls attend nursing courses. They are training so that they can go to the homeland and stand with Armenian soldiers, if necessary,” Yerazik Harutyunyan said in an interview with Hayern Aysor, adding that they are preparing flyers and signs with statements about Artsakh and are disseminating them to the public.

“Of course, we have responded to the call of the RA Ministry of Diaspora and will continue to take all the steps that I mentioned. All the Armenians who have united around the Vardanyan Center of Krasnodar are excited about the power of the spirit of heroic Artsakh and the steadfastness to turn the pure dreams into a reality. The Armenian community of Krasnodar will also provide 1 Kamaz truck and 2 ambulance trucks to the Talish village. On April 13, we will organize another fundraiser to provide assistance to the people of Artsakh and Armenian soldiers,” the school’s principal concluded.
