Austrian-Armenian community has taken several steps

The Armenian community of Austria has taken several steps to express its support to and solidarity with Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, writes Tert.am.
On behalf of all Armenian community organizations of Austria, a letter has been composed and sent to all political authorities of Austria, including the offices of the President and the Prime Minister, the Federal Assembly of Austria, the members of the Austria-Armenia Friendship Group and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Besides making a call to prevent Azerbaijan’s military aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh starting from 2 April and exert pressure on Aliyev’s regime, the organizations have also condemned Baku’s venturesome steps aimed at resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict militarily. The same letter has also been submitted to Austrian presses and foreign presses accredited to Austria.
The community organizations have also held a protest in front of the Office of the OSCE in Vienna where, on 5 April, the OSCE Permanent Council was holding an extraordinary session devoted to the restart of military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh. The participants of the protest waved the national flags of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and held signs reading “We Want Peace And Stability”, “Azerbaijan, Keep Your Hands Away From Artsakh”, “Respect Our Right To Life and Self-Determination”, “OSCE Minsk Group-You Need To Stop Aliyev’s Aggression”. Greeting the foreign representatives arriving at the OSCE Office located at Heldenplatz Square in central Vienna, the Armenians protesting against Aiyev’s bloody regime booed and screamed as they greeted the Turkish and Azerbaijani diplomats.
Later, the protesters submitted to the chairmanship of the OSCE a letter calling for support to the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs aimed at achieving long-lasting and sustainable peace in the region.
