Advisory board under RA Minister of Diaspora holds session

The advisory board under the RA Minister of Diaspora held a session with three items on the agenda on July 10th.

Chief of Staff of the RA Ministry of Diaspora Firdus Zakaryan delivered a report on the process of implementation of the “Ari Tun” Program of the RA Ministry of Diaspora aimed at helping Diaspora Armenian youth get to know the homeland.

Head of the Legal Department at the RA Ministry of Diaspora Luiza Tsaturyan delivered the Department’s report.

Head of the Department of Armenian Communities of Europe Hrachya Aslanyan delivered a report on the events held on the sidelines of the “French-Armenian Excellence Week” in Marseilles on 17-23 June.

Summing up the session, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan particularly mentioned that the events of the “French-Armenian Excellence Week” in Marseilles were organized and held very well. The minister expressed gratitude to Deputy Mayor of Marrseilles, founder of Didier Parakian Brand Didier Parakian; Head of the Armenian-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Marseilles, Head of the 13th and 14th districts of Marseilles, Director of the Armenian Culture and Youth Home in Marseilles Garo Hovsepian and Director of Terre d’ Armenie organization, Head of ARARAT TV Richard Findigian for organizing the “French-Armenian Excellence Week” wonderfully. The minister also spoke about future programs and events.

Member of the advisory board, Editor of California Courier newspaper Harut Sassounian’s proposal to organize similar events in the United States was read during the session.

Deputy head of the Armenian community of Nor Nakhichevan of the Russian Federation, author of the “Hayazg” (Armenian Nation) online Russian-language encyclopedia Sergey Sayadov also attended the session. Sayadov presented the encyclopedia in detail and asked for support to make additions to it, make it more accessible to the masses in the Armenian Diaspora and present the materials in both Armenian and English.
