2nd Pan-Armenian Forum of Lawyers entitled “Ahead of the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide” set to kick off

On July 5th at 10:00 the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the “Pan-Armenian Conference of Lawyers” will launch the 2nd Pan-Armenian Forum of Lawyers entitled “Ahead of the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide” at the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

The event will begin with opening remarks by RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan and welcoming remarks by President of the RA Constitutional Court and the Pan-Armenian Conference of Lawyers Gagik Harutyunyan, RA Minister of Justice Hrair Tovmasyan, RA Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan, RA Ombudsman Karen Andreasyan and NKR Minister of Justice Ararat Danielyan.

The event will bring together nearly 100 renowned lawyers from Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora.

The forum will be held with three panel sessions:

  1. The process of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide and international legal thought,
  2. Armenian Genocide: Key legal issues of restitution and the elimination of consequences,
  3. Legal issues of the activities of the regional committees established in the Diaspora ahead of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

As part of the forum, on July 5th at 16:00 the book “Constitutionality of the New Millennium: The Paradigms and Challenges of the Reality” will be presented at the National Gallery of Armenia, after which the participants of the forum will visit the Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial.

The forum will continue on July 6th.
