Hranush Hakobyan: “The Pan-Armenian Council will be established by May 2018”

The Pan-Armenian Council will be established by May 2018. The development of the mechanisms is underway. This is what Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia Hranush Hakobyan told journalists during the Second International Forum of Eurasian Partnership.
When asked if there would be one or more chairpersons, the Minister said the following: “It is under consideration. I can’t respond on behalf of everyone.”
When told that Diaspora Armenians are complaining about the fact that such a large institution can’t be governed by one person, Hranush Hakobyan stated the following: “There are differing views. I can’t accept one person’s view as a basis and say I agree or disagree. There is a committee, and it is operating.”
Are the rumors that the Council will be under the direction of President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan true? In response to this question, the Minister said the following:
“I repeat-nobody has determined the mechanism and the composition of the Council. When we meet, we will specify who will be a part of the Council, and then I will decide who the acceptable candidates are,” she added.
