Opening of the Personal Exhibition by French-Armenian Painter Asilva

The opening of French-Armenian painter Asilva personal exhibition will take place on September 16, at 15:00, at the Yerevan Contemporary Art Museum. The exhibition is entitled “Golden Corner of spontaneous conception” and dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s independence. 40 paintings by the artist created over a number of years will be on exhibit. “Hayern Aysor” obtained this information from the website of the Ministry of Culture.
The exhibition will remain open until October 4, 2016.
Asilva, who has Armenian roots, was born in Istanbul and after completing the local Hintlian school she moved to France and continued her studies at the “Notre Dame de Sion” school, therefore she studied mathematics and philosophy at the Sorbonne University. She started painting at an adult age. She is the author of a number of studies on the use of the principal of “golden crossing” in the paintings of Rembrandt and Søren. She works primarily abstract paintings. The artist links the mathematical and philosophical views. She held personal exhibition in Europe, the US, China, Japan and elsewhere. Her works can be found in a number of museums all over the world, private collections and are considered as valuable acquirements for States and museums.
Asilvay made significant contribution to the arts. She has and continues to lead a number of cultural organizations in Paris and id the founder of UNESCO’s “International Plastic Arts Association.”
The exhibition is taking place with the support of the ROA Ministry of Culture and the Embassy of the ROA in France.
