Reburial of Jadwiga Zarugevichova of Armenian descent held in Warsaw

On May 30, the ceremony of reburial of notable Armenian woman Jadwiga Zarugevichova (symbolic mother of the Unknown Soldier of Poland) was very solemnly held by a military order in Warsaw.
The ceremony was preceded by a Holy Mass served at the Church of the Army of Poland in Warsaw and attended by Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Poland Edgar Ghazaryan, Vice-President of the Seym of Poland Joachim Brudziński , Advisor to the President of Poland Barbara Fedyszak-Radziejowska, Secretary/Minister of the Council for Protection of the Memory of Veterans and Repressed Persons in the War of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Krzysztof Kunert, responsible servicemen of various subdivisions of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, representatives of Polish-Armenian community organizations and members of Jadwiga Zarugevichova’s family, as reported the press service of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The decree of President of the Republic of Poland Andrzei Duda was read during the Holy Mass, by which Jadwiga Zarugevichova was posthumously awarded with the Knightly Cross of Renaissance Order of Poland.
Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Poland Edgar Ghazaryan gave a speech during the Holy Mass.
The reburial of Jadwiga Zarugevichova was held at the Military Pantheon in Warsaw, and the tomb was eternalized with the cross-stone brought from Armenia for that purpose.
Among other speakers were Secretary/Minister of the Council for Protection of the Memory of Veterans and Repressed Persons in the War of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Krzysztof Kunert, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Poland, Professor Voychekh Falkovsky, Vice-President of the Armenian Foundation Machey Poghosevich and Jadwiga Zarugevichova’s grandson.
