Bako Sahakyan on the statement of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense on bombarding Stepanakert

During the four-day war in early April, the authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic had acknowledged the statement of the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan on bombarding Stepanakert and had prepared to give a counterattack in case of such development.
This is what President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan said in an interview with Public Television of Artsakh and Mediaton.
“We acknowledged that statement and immediately prepared for such development. To question their goals will mean to continue to be in a state of confusion. Our child killed in school, the bodies of our executed boys, 90-year-old parents executed in their home and the other atrocities go to show that they were coming to execute us all again, ravish the tombs of our ancestors and rape our women and sisters. Therefore, I find that it is our duty to give adequate evaluations of their actions and carry out our future measures based on that cruel truth,” Bako Sahakyan said.
Bako Sahakyan stated that after that statement, he had ordered to bring Artsakh’s zenith missile systems, the multiple rocket systems, missile systems, including range missile systems to the military positions.
“If Azerbaijan took such action, we would immediately open fire, and that response would be adequate in the case of such development,” he said.
