RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan participated in tree-planting ceremony dedicated to the 70th anniversary of “Ararat” Sport and Cultural Center

On Mar. 15, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan participated in a tree-planting ceremony organized near “Zvartnots” Historical-Cultural Museum-Reserve on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Iranian-Armenian community’s “Ararat” Sport and Cultural Center. Among other participants were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Mohammad Reyisi, Iranian-Armenian conductor, composer Loris Tchgnavoryan, members of “Ararat” Union, members of the Iranian-Armenian community, as well as students of the school named after founder of “Ararat” Sport and Cultural Center, writer Hakob Karapents.

“Ararat” Sport and Cultural Center makes a great contribution to preservation of the Armenian identity and the education and upbringing of generations. This tree-planting ceremony is part of the special events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Center in the Homeland.

Minister Hranush Hakbyan congratulated the Iranian-Armenians on the Center’s 70th anniversary and mentioned that the symbol of the tree-planting ceremony is to deepen the roots in the homeland. The minister added that the creation of such centers must set an example for preservation of national identity and culture in other Armenian communities of the Diaspora.

Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Mohammad Reyisi praised the active efforts of the Iranian-Armenian community, mentioning that each member of the community is highly respected with his or her good deeds and contributions and contributes to the development of the country and the Armenian community.

The participants of the event planted fruit and evergreen trees in the 2,000 square meter area near Zvartnots Temple. In the end, the students of Hakob Karapents School sang songs and recited poems devoted to the nation.
