On July 8, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received Editor-in-Chief of Moscow’s Zham Magazine Anna Givargizyan, who has received the grand prize in the “Best Article Dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic” category of the 2016 annual Awards “For Notable Contribution to Preservation of the Armenian Identity”.

The Minister cordially greeted the guest, congratulated her on winning in that category and highly appreciated the efforts of the magazine’s editorial staff and the editor-in-chief aimed at preserving the national identity and culture and helping Armenians of the new generation recognize themselves. Hranush Hakobyan expressed her satisfaction with the fact that she has made the magazine become beloved, anticipated and in demand in a short amount of time and added that the magazine has quickly become a part of the pan-Armenian field of information with its unique and interesting style. She also voiced hope that Zham would present a new series and new programs.

Anna Givargizyan expressed gratitude for the cordial reception and stated the following:  “Zham Magazine has been accomplishing its mission with dedication and diligence since 2008. The magazine is issued in Moscow, but is distributed to different countries around the world. Receiving this award before the magazine’s tenth anniversary is very symbolic, precious and inspiring. Issuing a magazine is a hard task. Therefore, this award belongs to not only me, but also my colleagues, supporters and especially the readers who are the first guarantee of the existence of this magazine.”
