RA Minister of Diaspora congratulates member of Westbrook City Council Anna Astvatsaturian-Turcotte

Dear Mrs. Astvatsaturian-Turcotte,

I congratulate you on being elected a member of Westbrook City Council. We take pride in the fact that our compatriot, who moved to the USA due the massacres in Baku, has been properly appreciated for her human traits and the qualities of a law-abiding citizen and for her activities in politics and government and has achieved such success abroad, gaining the trust of not only Armenians, but also Americans.

The dedication that you show in all sectors of your activities as a human rights activist and a writer truly deserves high appreciation, and we are certain that you will continue to show that same dedication as a member of the city council.

Your efforts for the strengthening of Armenia-Diaspora relations and the preservation of the Armenian identity also deserve appraisal. The Armenian government has praised your dedicated efforts by granting you the Movses Khorenatsi Medal, which is one of the highest state awards of the Republic of Armenia.

Accept our heartfelt congratulatory remarks. We fully hope your election is the start of your political career and becomes the guarantee for more successes and achievements.

We wish you endless vigor and longstanding activities for the benefit of the Armenian people and the Armenian community of America.

With best wishes,
